Snow Snow and more snow!

We had such a wonderful windy warm weekend last week and now I am stuck in the snow. Its a good thing I got new tires on the truck and put out all of my spring decor, because I would have major confusion. Now I know this is a typical Utah spring but I have been in Utah for 36 years of my life(all my life) and I still am so surprised to see the snow in March. I am not a skier so this white stuff does not thrill me. It means shoveling and putting on layers and layers of clothing and hanging all those layers out to dry once they get wet. My kids enjoy the snow and I like to watch from the window with my cocoa in my hand. I can't wait for the real spring and summer to arrive. I like the rain to an extent but definately more than snow.

Yesterday we went to Ashleys track meet at her school(IN THE SNOW GRR). She took on some challenges that she was prepared for, she thought. She did the 300 meter hurdles and the 1 mile and the 4x1 relay. She did really well but all of the events were back to back almost and she struggled a little with being so cold but all in all she had fun. I forgot my camera(typical) but I got a new cell phone with a camera and I took a picture of her doing hurdles but I only got the shot of her after she jumped so I will try to figure out how to post the picture on here. I was also very cold and I chose to stay in my seat instead of trying to get a closer shot. I don't care if we are in a blizzard next time, I will make sure I get my butt out of my seat and get a better shot.

I just love brownies! Ashley and Sugar made these the other day. They were so yummy they did not last very long.

M M M Monster Truck

This is the Maverik Monster Trakker. This one you all know is local. We did notice that he got a new paint job this year.

This one is a new one that we have not ever seen and he is from Willard. When we went to the autograph table I asked the guy if he parks his truck at his house and he just laughed at me and said NO!

Here are the boys at the autograph table. Spencer is with the Maverick driver and Tanner is with a different one. I really can't remember. I took the boys to the Monster truck show on Valentines day. We had so much fun. It was a bit more crowded than normal, but maybe that is because we did not have end seats. The boys had fun and didn't notice the crowd. I just wanted to post some pictures. I always say I am going to take pictures of them together in their seats and then I forget and it is too dark and too many people.

Emily and I took the girls to their Fancy Nancy party last Saturday. It was at Gardner village in the Georgell Doll shop. I had ordered some dolls online and when they came they were scary ugly. Emily had found some at Target so we traded for these dolls instead. If you have little girls, you NEED Fancy Nancy in your life. She is SO Posh.

Happy Birthday to me!

Okay so yesterday was my birthday. I had requested that nobody make a big deal. I DO NOT WANT TO BE THIS OLD. I don't feel like I am 36. So after Sugar got out of preschool we had some errands to run and then we went to Bluebird for lunch. I tried to get her to be and act like Fancy Nancy but she really just wanted to be herself. Ashley broke out the new Kitchenaid mixer and made cupcakes RED VELVET with fluffy white icing. I got all of the Christmas stuff put away. Ashley had to run to the store for stuff and at that time we had a moment of excitement. I lost my purse. I probably do this 3 times a week. Its either my keys or my purse. See I don't not like getting older.
This was probably the best birthday I have had in a long time. I am a homebody (who likes to shop) but I don't like to be the center of attention. I purchased myself what I wanted and now I don't have to return any of my gifts. So it is okay to give yourself a day off for your birthday. I love giving my kids a big to do for thier birthdays but we haven't done that for a while either so this will be the year to party. I have to start thinking of Ashley's birthday right now because she turns 16 this year. OH MY I don't like being this old!

I am SO excited!

My kids go back to school tomorrow. All of them. I get at least 2 whole hours to myself and I know just how to use it! Can you say wii? I only got to give it a test run over the holidays but now I will have uninterupted wii time to myself. My birthday is in a couple of days and I really want the wii fit so if anybody out there wants to give this great girl a great gift now you know what to get me. j/k.

Well here we are at the end.
Of the year.
I hope everyone had a great Christmas and got everything they wanted. I did and then I woke up the next morning and all hell broke loose. Don't ask I don't want to talk about it.

I am blog surfing this morning and I found this cute blog and it had a funny name. It gave me a laugh and so I thought I would share the item I found on this ladies blog. Okay it is just little, but it gave me a big smile.
How many times have I used this word in my life? maybe once, twice or even never.
I think it is one of those funny words that you can use and not hurt feelings(at least is hope not), like when my sister calls me a honky. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't be offended I am not out to offend. I needed a smile on my face today and now I have one that will last all day. I hope I at least made my sister smile by sharing this with everyone. Oh and if you don't like what I have to say just don't read it. Have a Happy New Year!!!!
