Merry Christmas

I wish I had some pictures to post, but we are having a heat wave and the snow is melting so it doesn't seem to feel like christmas. We do have a new addition to the family...her name is Harlee and she is a border collie. As soon as I can get her to sit still I will post some pictures of her. She is a ball of cute furriness. She is so playful and her and Sadie have their good days and bad days, But so far no major fighting and they do drink out of the same bowl at the same time...all Harlee's idea.

I have been helping out alot at the kids' school. It has been so much fun. Sugar has the biggest teacher crush I have ever seen. Mr Menlove is by far the best teacher she has ever had. Even though she is only in first grade she knows this to be a fact. Spencer really likes his teacher too. Mr Pugmire was made to work with 5th graders.

Christmas is sneaking up on my really fast this year. We just got our tree up and I think it is already dead. I keep watering the thing but I am not sure it will last. The same thing happened last year so I am not sure how to keep a real tree from drying out so fast before Christmas. Oh well next year I am for sure getting a fake tree. I will miss the fresh scent but I won't miss the dry crooked messy real tree.

Fair time again.

It happens every year around this time. I just love this time of year. The kids work so hard to get to this point and it always pays off somehow. These are just some pictures of Dax(my nephew) and Sugar with the new duds they got today. They are showing our pygmy goats because they are not 4H age and they can show them in an open class.

Our Trip to Rawlins, Wyoming...

So we went to see Clint in Rawlins....But while we were there we tried to avoid the wind and have some fun. I am not very adventurous so exiting the freeway to go see something that I have never seen before is about scary enough for me. I hate being lost and I can't read a map so we did really good finding the places we went to. On our way there we saw the cool windmills. That was about as exciting as the drive got. The most exciting thing was that I downloaded about $30 worth if music on my Ipod so we had some great music to sing to on the way to and from.
We went to Fort Bridger and saw and learned some new things that we didn't know about Jim Bridger. When we were in Rawlins we went to this old prison that was shut down and they were doing tours. I was secretly hoping it was haunted. I wanted to experience a haunted jail, but it was just cold and dreary. The kids got to sit in the gas chamber and that was cool. We took our new puppy so we were kind of limited on the things we could do but we did take her to the prison and Fort Bridger.

Prom Again...

Okay I know it has been a long time since I posted anything. So here goes another posting with prom. This is not the same as the last one this one is SR. prom. Ashley went with "Bob". She had a crush on him until maybe a month before prom but he already asked her and then another boy asked her and she got all emotional and stuff. We made an agreement that she would always go with the first person that asked her so there would be no stress but that was not how it worked. She had a great time and got to dance with the boy who asked her 2nd. He ended up going with his sisters friend so it all worked out for everyone. OH the drama!

Prom (Ashley's)

Here she is with her date. Taylor.
She will kill me for putting this one on but oh well!

This was her hair. I am not a hairdresser but I did my best. Just kidding my sister in law did her hair. I was too afraid I would mess it up. I wish I would have gotten some bling for her hair or something. She did not want me to use Sugars sparkle spray, but that is all we had.

She ended up not wearing this necklace. It just didn't seam sparkly enough. So she wore some pearls and some pearl dangly earings. I hope she doesn't come to me later and tell me that pearls are for old people and not for prom.

These are her bling bling shoes. I wanted her to get some really shiney black ones but she wanted these and they are so pretty. (good choice Ashley)

Here she is all tall and beautiful. I wish I was a better photographer but at least I have some sort of camera to capture her wonderful day.

I wish to thank Aunt Sheri for giving us the dress. Aunt Kim for the beautiful hairdo.

Now that you can see some of my house I need ideas on what color to paint the fireplace. Its way to orange for me. If only I was an interior decorator instead of a photographer that would be great...oh wait I'm in big trouble because I am neither one of those.

Introducing...

Here they are Cleopatra and Gabriella(names not permanent.)We have gone through a couple of names before we came up with these so they are subject to change without further notice.

YES! the Snow White dress does go with the pink hat. Oh and she had her cowgirl boots on too. They have princesses on them too.
The goats will do anything to get to the yummy grain. We bought some hay that was a little grassier than the kind they sent us home with so we have to coax them with little treat to get them to eat the new stuff.

Yay I did it!

I did it I finally did it...I cleaned all of the pictures off of my camera cleaned up my computer and now I can show you what we have been up to. I want to start with these cutie patooties...
There are 13 in all. I wasn't sure how many would survive so we played it safe by purchasing 13. We also found out on Saturday that We(meaning Ashley) are the proud owners of 5 pregnant ewe's. Ashley won them in an FFA contest. We are actually very excited. I am not sure if any of you know but we bought an acre of land with a house. I am more excited about the property right now because the house is in need of some work(according to me). Its liveable but I want it to be fresh and new. We were able to get the governments new homeowner money so as soon as the check gets here I am going to get me something new. Not sure what I will need or want at the time but I know that it will be spent. Maybe I should discuss this with Clint first. Anyways this is our new adventure and I am so excited. Some days I am not so sure about all of this but I know it will be worth it!

BLOG UPDATE NEEDED!

I really really want to update my blog with pictures and video, But I can't because my computer will no longer hold any of my pictures it is too full. Now what do I do? I want a new computer but this one is fine just full! Tons of things have happened in our lives since the beginning of the year...birthdays...new(old) house with a barn no less and a shed and a chicken coop...I want it to sound super appealing but it isn't right now. I have lots of work ahead of me and I am super excited. I don't really know how to remodel but I am very willing to learn. There are a few things I have done but I can't show you because my camera is full and my computer is full. We are going to tackle the bathroom redo as soon as the weather gets better so my kids can shower outside for a couple of months. No I am just kidding. I just thought that if we encounter a problem it would be easier to deal with it in nicer weather.I took Spencer to the monster truck show again. I had already told him we weren't going but I just couldn't resist taking him to something he enjoys so much. He had a great time. Sugar had a pretty fabulous birthday party with her friends right before we moved. Well I have rambled for too long and I need to get on with my day!

Random holiday pictures

Ashley celebrated her 16th birthday this December. I took her and her friends to the mall to see Santa and then we went to Angie's restarant to "clean the sink". We had Emily and her kids to our house for New years they decorated mask among a ton of other fun activities. At Emily we decorated gingerbread houses thank you to Cortney it was fun and so messy. Sugar and Ashley wanted to build something other than a snowman so they built this cute reindeer. They named it Blizzard.

Happy New Year

I am not about to share my resolutions with everyone because I think most of mine are more on a personal level. Everyone has something they would like to improve upon and I am one of them for sure. So I decided that I will take my time and just be happy.

Emily and her girls came over to our house for new years and we had a great time. I saw a local morning show not to long ago share some fun ideas for a new years party with kids and my sister and I did so many fun things with the kids. Clint caught up on some sleep(YEP! he got to come home) and Emilys husband had to work. We filled gift bags full of activities and each hour on the hour(or when they needed a new activity) We started a new project or game. This was really geared towards the little kids but the big girls got involved and had a good time(I hope). I think the funnest one was throwing the sticky hand to grab the paper. We laughed and laughed all night long. We also played flashlight limbo. I think it would be more fun with more kids so maybe we will do this one again in the summer with the neighbor kids.

I hope everyone has a really great new year ahead of them and we love you all.
